Well, we caught a mouse...kind of.
While Jon was at school, a little gray mouse decided to get only kind-of, sort-of caught, and the run all around the dinning room with the trap eating Belinda's Lucky Charms crumbs that she'd dropped.
Well, Leigh wasn't exactly emotionally up to the challenge at the moment, so Jon arrived home an hour later to find everyone far away from the dinning room!
Belinda wanted to keep him and get rid of our bird, Donna.
That was tempting.
But since wild mice are hard to tame, and sometimes carry Lyme's Disease, we figured it was best to take him out on a walk. It was a very quick, very humane walk. It didn't hurt a bit, we promise. But we still didn't want to get any pictures. It wasn't as cute as you'd think...

Meanwhile, Sammy has turned into the most smiley, laughy baby we've ever seen! When Jon gets done with the semester, in about 3 weeks, we will have so many pictures that your hard drive will get clogged up!

We been busy entertaining company. This guest happens to be a mouse that showed up Monday morning. He (or she) is only a couple of inches long, but really has a startling effect when he runs across the room.

This is one smart little guy. It managed to get the peanut butter off the trap without getting stuck! The man of the house has been unable to entrap or otherwise remove the presence of the mouse.

The mouse has his (or her) own thing going on: poking around under the stove, looking out the sliding door at the deck, frightening Leigh at least twice a day by running across the floor when she least expects it. Meanwhile, Belinda is interested in being a mouse and eating cheese. Donna, our bird, was horrified the first time she saw the mouse, but now she ignores it.

OK, so who is going to be the person with the handiest advice on what to do with this rodent? Yes, this is a plea for your knowledge and wisdom.

The dangers of potty training --

Here are those buds I (Jon) noticed poking out of the groung the other day. They are turning into plants. I'm keeping tabs on Spring to make sure it comes in OK.

If you feel sick, come and see us.

Spring is here, and we've been absent from the terminal screen yet again. To assure you that we've been up to worthwhile stuff, we thought it was time to show some playing outside. There will be so much playing outside in the next few months that the city might want to start taxing it.

This was about as much outside as we saw during the Winter, with the new baby and all.

But...

We suggest that, unless you are homebound by an illness, you should get outside and run around. Even if you don't have kids. Just don't run with sticks.
