Spring is finally happening! There is nothing like seeing a bird hop onto a limb with grass in her mouth, building on all her big plans for the summer.

Belinda is really cranking out the artwork. We're not sure when the agents are going to start calling.

The 10 days away from this journal were very busy ones! We had Easter travel, Leigh's business endeavors were active, Jon's school work was very heavy, and the kids were as silly as usual. Meanwhile we are trying to get our new computer configured and happy. So far it seems pretty secure with us, but it doesn't want to talk to the other computers yet. Maybe with a new network hub and a little warm milk we can have everything better than normal.

Next month is Leigh's 30th B-day. We've decided to go to the Zoo! Now that's going to be fun.

Her desk is a pillow and her boss is asleep on it and her office is in the living room -- but she gets it all done anyway!

Yes, the first bud of Spring is exciting enough to get it's picture taken...

Yesterday we saw the first green buds poking out of the ground. Today they were bigger!

On the 20th of this month the days and nights are of equal length. After the 20th, the days are longer than the nights!

To think this happens every year...

(Summer and Winter and Springtime and Harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Your great faithfulness, mercy and love).

Belinda playing Jonah. What an interesting wardrobe Jonah has.

Sammy loves his new (to him) walker!

Great Styles, Cheap Rates

He can't believe it either.

Last week was Belinda's 3rd Birthday party. We had a rotating cast of guests throughout the morning and early afternoon, so we were able to see some people we rarely get to have around. Belinda had a very nice time. She got a magna-doodle (a sort of etch-a-sketch for those who aren't sure what that is), a Fisher-Price Doctor Kit (she relives the croup emergency of a few weeks ago, and heals all our boo-boos), a toy mixer and coffee maker, a big wheel Strawbery Shortcake bicycle, toy hats and costume noses, and on and on.

Leigh started out the party with a game that ended in a candy free-for-all on the floor. So the children, who I'm sure never get candy from their parents, went into an instant sugar shock for the remainder of the morning. This was, by the way, in conjunction with cupcakes and chips. It was a rampage of non-organics, but the kids loved it anyway. Go figure.

Actually, all those presents were a little overwhelming to her brain. Who needs lots of presents anyway? We are all happy as a birthday party when we can get together and ... be together.
Of course, the 3-year olds all agree that the presents are the most important thing of all. Ever. Period.

We are very, very excited about our new dishwasher. Our old one (a Caloric brand, which we don't think is really a brand) gave up mid-cycle several weeks ago. Our land-royalty (lord/lady) were kind enough to replace it with a major expensive one with all kinds of cycles and knobs and cubbyholes for little bake-ware. And the dishes actually get clean!

We include a photo of the man putting in our dishwasher. There are things we could tell you about him that would be more interesting than the dishwasher, but that wouldn't be fair to him, would it.

We are experiencing a posting slow-down due to Jon's busy mid-term schedule. We'll be back in action in just a few days!
