FLASHBACK

This is from when Belinda was little. We were living in our bungalow in West Virginia. Those times were sweet. But we knew we had to move on and do other things, just like a baby girl knows she has to grow up and do more things.

Today we had the kids measured and weighed. Sammy weighs about 23 pounds, and I think they said he is 31 inches long. Belinda weighs about 32 pounds and is 39 inches long. They had to get their fingers pricked to check their iron levels. Belinda was making wild animal faces at the nurse, but seemed to cheer up at the sight of bandage. She doesn't want to go back to the doctor again.
Sammy, on the other hand, didn't care what they did as long as he got to make a mess. He managed to smear the tiny, tiny drop of blood on his fingertip all over his thigh somehow. When we finally got the bandage on, he loved it. Then we found it floating in his mouth a couple of minutes later. He is a biohazard.

Next I want to put up pictures that Belinda has colored of thirsty people, of pregnant people, and of gorgeous princesses. Then I will put up pictures of Leigh going to her new job. Yes, she is going to slow down (has already slowed down) on all her part-time pursuits. She is now going to manage the Estee Lauder store in Macy*s, and we think she's going to have a lot of fun. We were talking about it: she's been either pregnant or nursing for the last 4 years. She hasn't worked formally for 4 years. Instead, she's been doing the much more demanding job of HouseWife (quite possibly the most psychotic job on the planet besides that of Roach Trainer). The good news is that we will all be able to spend more time together as a family. We like that.
