We had a pretty exciting New Year's.
First, our neighbors had a big party in the eve, so there was a lot of noise and excitement in the air on our street until late at night. Belinda and Sammy slept just fine from 10PM on.
Then on New Year's Day, we drove down to New Jersey and enjoyed a lot of food, much of it unhealthful. The children, Belinda and her cousins, were excited because they opened presents yet again. I think everyone had fun.
Everything went well on the way home except for I (Jon) got turned around in Jersey and added 25 minutes to our return trip. Getting turned around is easy to do in South Jersey, since 1/3 of the roads are named "Jackson Road" and the other roads don't have signs.
Today we are all languishing at home with colds (Jon, Leigh, Samuel), ear infections and possible asthma (Belinda), and various other assorted illnesses (all). The weather is fine and we are going to take it easy.
