I know it's been said before on this very same blog, "We will have more pictures soon." The server over at Blogger.com has been running into some difficulty, so i've run out of time each time I try to post them. Needless to say...well, I won't even say how nice they are. Everyone can just wait.
We have the lights up on our Christmas tree. You can see it when you drive up the road to our house. It's very inviting. Christmas is a special time of year. Let's pray for those who can't spend Christmas with loved ones: our military, some of our sick friends, those who have lost a special loved one to death. This is a hard time of year for all of them -- as hard for them as it is fun for us. It boils down to the fact that it's not just about fun, but it's about caring for one another in the same spirit as the One who came to care for us -- Jesus. This is true whether we are enjoying Christmas or hurting at Christmas, or maybe just a little lonely or sad.
We're going to TRY to make some cookies and some other little snacks and have our duplex-complex neighbors over. We'll set a date, and if you're in the area we will want you to come on over too. Most likely a week or a week-and-a-half before Christmas.
By the way, Leigh and Samuel have been getting out of the house a little. We went to the Border's kids corner on Saturday and to Church on Sunday evening. It's a lot of fun showing off your baby, even if it's not really 100% right to show off. It's hard to keep from being proud of your own baby.
